New technology is available to separate amalgam from dental waste. This patented technology (US5795159 and US5885076) can remove significant percentages of amalgam from dental wastewater. Results to date show mercury levels of 50 to 100 ppb (parts per billion). The recovered waste is easily and hygienically disposed of. This technology could be the first stage of a system to reduce mercury to 1 ppb. The technology is available for license and commercialization. We are looking for dental office or small clinic to assist in the testing of the technology. We would also be interested in contacting company that is able to manufacture the commercial units after the technology is licensed. Manufacturer will be involved in the field test and design of the commercial unit.
